Product Overview

The 1860 Army revolver was adopted as US government ordnance because of its lighter weight, improved balance, and superior ballistics. This 6-shot percussion revolver became very popular with mounted troops and went on to be the issued sidearm for the US Army for many years. The 1860 army steel charcoal blue model features a forged steel frame, shoulder stock cuts and screws, charcoal blue parts, round barrel, fixed front blade sight, ratchet style loading lever, rebated cylinder with a roll engraved navy battle scene, steel backstrap and brass triggerguard, and an Army sized walnut grip. The Charcoal Blue finish is a delicate over-oxidized bluing and when new it is a bright blue color, but over time with use it will naturally patina to a soft grey. A conversion cylinder is available for this model that is a drop-in conversion to smokeless .45LC/.45Schofield ammunition.

I source these from a variety of importers such as by Taylor's & Company, Cimarron and EMF.  Packaging may vary depending on importer.
