The 1851 Navy revolver, produced from 1851 to 1872, was the most famous model of the cap-and-ball era for good reasons. This 1851 navy snub nose model features a case hardened steel frame, blued parts, octagonal barrel, brass loading rod included in the box, and a checkered walnut flattop birdshead grip. The .44 caliber model includes a rebated cylinder and the .36 model includes a standard Navy cylinder.
