Hand built French Style Flintlock Pistol
This is a fine example of an early French style pistol. Features and 7-¼ inch round swamped barrel with a cannon muzzle in 20 . The French style lock is 4.5 inches long and uses a ¾ inch flint. Nicely figured maple stock with fully engraved brass butt cap, side plate and trigger guard.
This pistol was built in our shop from “Caywood” parts. It has been used a bit, primarily for demonstrations. Finished in a colonial red maple stain and hand rubbed oil finish.
