Hand Crafted English Fowler in 12 gauge with modified Choke
This is a mid 18th Century English style flintlock fowler. Finished with a 41-inch round barrel in 12 gauge. This barrel has been jug choked "modified". This fowler features a fully engraved sterling silver thumb piece, fully engraved iron butt plate, trigger guard and side plate, sling swivels, a fine English sporting lock with finely beaded borders and water resistant pan and a nicely figured maple stock. The trigger pull is 14 1/8 inches.
 
 
 
We finished this We have hand finished this fowler with a deep, rich maple stain. Multiple hand rubbed oil top finish was than applied to give a warm finish.
This product does have one flaw that needs to be pointed out. There is a crack in the wood (repaired so it won't get worse) near the buttplate. It is about 1 1/2 inches long that starts where the buttplate widens from the buttplate tang.
