Traders and Participants.
I want to personally invite you all to this year’s New Ulm Trade Fair and Living History Event. I am pleased to announce that with a full year of planning and advertising I am convinced that we should all see an increase in our success.
In addition to having trade tables both upstairs and downstairs I have made arrangements to have Mike Stocklin of “Dakota Creations” to demonstrate the fine art of flintknapping. Mike creates fine quality knapped knives, lance points and arrowheads, some of which have made their way onto the Big Screen.
There will also be 300 limited edition collector medallions available for sale. This medallion will be required for anyone that enters the trading areas during the “non-public hours”. This includes the upstairs bar and any other areas set up as “non-public” by Turner Hall. In addition, by purchasing this medallion you are allowed “free” admission during the public hours of the event and entered in a special drawing for a Glenn “Yellowlegs” Swanson Powder Horn. The medallion is not included in the traders’ fee.

I will also have limited edition coffee mugs available for $12.00. These mugs will feature the New Ulm Trade Show Logo. Production will be limited to advanced orders plus a very limited supply at the show. If you want one please place your order now.
Please be sure to read the entire rules and regulations section carefully as there are a few minor rule changes. Period dress and pre-1840 items on the trade tables will be strictly enforced.
Traders may stay at their tables Friday and Saturday night. Please limit the number at each table to 2 people. “Lights out” in these areas will be 10:00 pm.
For those interested there will be a space set up for a potluck supper on Friday evening. Turner hall will have a basic dish for sale (probably Chili) to start as a basis for this supper. The rest of the dishes will be solely up to those who want to bring food to pass. I know it has been a great tradition so I hope some of you will continue to bring a dish for this function. If you wish to participate we ask that you bring a dish to share!
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
